What is Sturling curling.
Sturling curling is a two-person curling game with either a stick or slide delivery. Sturling word comes from the S, meaning stick or slide, T stands for two-person team and the remainder of the letters come from the word "curling."
The idea behind Stick Curling is to be more inclusive for players with physical limitations who may be unable to sweep or brush, as well as to increase the challenge for Slide Curlers by not having the extra advantage that sweeping provides to guiding thrown stones.
STICK CURLING, OR STURLING?
The only significant difference is that sturling welcomes slide delivering curlers whereas stick curling prohibits them. Experience has shown that overall, it is neither easier nor more difficult to deliver a rock using a stick. Yes, the stick makes it easier for some individuals who have difficulty executing the slide, but it certainly does not make anyone better than the top slide curlers.
It evens the competitive level.
